nanoloop ringtones

The nanoloop ringtone generator produces a simple bleepy ringtone with just two notes playing in a fast tremolo. For each new tone, five parameters such as pitch, tempo and FM timbre are randomised.

NOTE: This is not a nanoloop version, it's just from the same author and based on the same FM synth.

Usage

Press "new" until you find a variant you like. It is recommended to save a few tones and to make the final selection on the phone.

Regular Phones

Tones saved on the PC can usually be transferred to the phone via Bluetooth, e-mail or USB. When receiving an audio file, most phones ask wether to use it as a ringtone or there is a menu option for that.
The same applies when you point the phone directly to www.nanoloop.com/r and save the file.

iPhone

The generator can run in Safari, but it is slow and the iPhone is unable to save audio files or use them as ringtones. Saved ringtones can only be installed via iTunes and need to be converted to m4r format first (which can be done in iTunes, too).

Android

On Android, open the saved file so that it plays in the music player. In most music players, there is an option to use a track as a ringtone.

Files saved on the PC can be moved to SDcard > media > audio > notifications and are then available within the ringtone settings menu.

Bandwidth

Please note that tones are generated on server and each new tone uses about 100k of bandwidth.
